Alice Chuang, MD obtained her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics at Harvard University. She then returned to her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to complete both medical school and residency training at the University of Tennessee. She stayed there as an Instructor for 2 years before accepting an appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

During her faculty appointment at the University of Tennessee, she served as clerkship director and made many contributions to both resident and student curricula. She was a recipient of teaching awards both as a resident and as faculty, winning the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award in 2002.

At UNC-Chapel Hill, she is the course chair for the Reproductive Medicine and Genetics Course for second year medical students and the clerkship director.

She was again awarded the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award in 2006 and has won departmental and school-wide teaching awards from 2002 throough the present, distinguishing herself in both the basic science curriculum and the clinical curriculum. She continues to be involved in curriculum development with particular interests in preparing learners for life after medical school and residency and the appropriate use of technology in education.

Francis S. Nuthalapaty, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Regional Campus in Greenville, SC. He is the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center.
